Actually, the room was absolutely fantastic, it also had a separate shower and a shower. Pleasant view across the rolling Ayrshire hills, enjoyed it. The hotel's location was great and stunning, just next door to the valley, Ayrshire and other parts of Scotland, and Dumfries House and the Delmellington observatory.
Not one thing.

Reasonably large and airy unit with a comfortable decor. Big bedroom, exceptionally comfortable bed. All in all good setting near to many attractions, the Delmellington observatory, and Liz's homemade jams which are a must. Amicable and great staff and management.

The value for money was excellent, and our room was comfortably luxurious. The location was stunning, with beautiful views of the valley and hills. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome.
The breakfast could have been better with larger portions of black pudding and haggis.

The location of this hotel was beautiful, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and large bathrooms. The attention to detail was excellent, with thoughtful touches like homemade shortbread and a selection of tea and coffee. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh ingredients and the option to purchase homemade jam. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home.
One drawback of our stay was the lack of taxi service in the area. We were there for a Christmas event at a nearby venue, and it was difficult to find transportation.

We booked a surprise birthday trip to the Old School and were greeted with fresh coffee and shortbread upon arrival. The building is full of character, with a cozy log fire and charming reminders of its school history. Our room, the art room, was spacious with a fantastic countryside view. The little touches, from delicious biscuits to handmade soap cubes, made us feel special. Breakfast was superb with fresh local produce and homemade jams. Liz and Mike were friendly hosts. a truly wonderful stay.

The setting is exceptionally nice, located in a peaceful area, next to other parts of Scotland, and a restaurant. The unit is well-equipped and tastefully decorated, with good tea, a four poster bed, and interesting books. The staff is very amiable and responsive, always on hand.
